When you live in Arizona there are so many amazing things to do all the time. Like exploring a museum  or going thrifting. Though one of our favorite things to do on a lovely summer day is head to one of our favorite yarn shops. There are plenty of great options that you don’t want to miss out on.

1) Tempe Yarn & Fiber

This family owned and operated local yarn shop is situated at the University Plaza in a small 1000 foot square foot space. However, don’t let that deter you from visiting. Tempe Yarn & Fiber provides the best products and tools need to be successful at your craft. With knowledgeable and helpful staff as well as the wide selection of yarns you can’t go wrong visiting this shop.

2) Sedona Knit Wits

Sedona Knit Wits offers a wide variety of yarns to choose from. However, they specialize in yarns dyed right there in Sedona’s backyard. These hand-dyed yarns come in several options making this a fabulous option for your next knit project. Be sure to check online for their upcoming events and classes.

3) Birdhouse Yarns

Located in Tucson, Arizona, Birdhouse Yarns has amazing and friendly staff who are willing to help you with your next project. Stop in with questions or get the yarn for your next project, you won’t be disappointed with the store. And if you’re new to knitting, we recommend signing up for the Washcloth Club. Every month the club meets to make a new washcloth with a new technique or stitch to better your knitting.

5) The Yarn Monger

This locally owned and operated business offers a wide variety of yarns. When you stop in at The Yarn Monger you’ll find friendly staff to help guide you on your next yarn craft adventure. And if you’re around be sure to drop in to yarn and yak night on Friday nights from 4 to 7 pm.
